Who we are

The Ecolution Project is a programme of Seven Generations Initiative NPC (CIPC registration 2026/554756/08), based at Well-Being Sanctuary, Hoogekraal Farm, Sedgefield, Garden Route. What we collect, and why

We only collect information you type into a form yourself. There are two:

• The contact form. Your name, email address, the reason you picked and your message. We use it to reply to you, and for nothing else. It is emailed to our inbox through Resend, our email delivery provider.
• The donation form. Your name, email address, the amount and whether the gift is once-off or monthly. This is passed to the payment provider you choose so that they can process the donation and we can thank and receipt you.

We never see your card details

Card and banking details are entered on PayFast’s or Paystack’s own secure pages, never on this website. We have no access to your card number at any point, and we do not store it. Each provider handles that data under its own privacy policy and its PCI-DSS obligations.

If you pay by direct EFT instead, your bank — not this website — handles the transfer. If you send us a proof of payment by WhatsApp, we keep it only as long as we need it to confirm and acknowledge your gift.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, and we do not run any tracking pixels, so there is no cookie banner to click through.

Two third-party embeds appear on the site: a Google Map on our story page, and video players which we load through YouTube’s no-cookie domain and which do not mount until you scroll to them. Those services may still receive your IP address when the embed loads, under Google’s privacy policy.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, which can include your IP address and browser type. We use these only to keep the site running and secure.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, ever. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work — our payment providers (PayFast and Paystack), our email delivery provider (Resend) and our host (Vercel) — and only to the extent each needs to do its job. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Contact-form emails stay in our inbox until they are no longer useful. Donation records are kept for as long as South African tax and accounting law requires — generally five years — because we have to be able to account for every gift we receive.

Your rights under POPIA

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we are using it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Email ecolutionproject7generations@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

If you believe we have mishandled your information and we have not put it right, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Children appear in photographs on this site only with the permission of a parent or guardian; if you would like a photograph removed, please contact us and we will take it down.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
